Kevin:

Hello, Kevin DeYoung and Tom Groelsema

Look at, this is our very high-tech iPhone on the table speaking to you. We just wanted to give greetings and say hello if I can show my face after taking CRC's favorite son.

But we do want to encourage you. We were cheering you on, encouraged by Synod last year.

You know, that's a beginning more than an end point. And I encourage you to keep your hand in the plow, stay faithful. 

We know it's often difficult. I remember many times leaving a classist meeting in the RCA. I'd have the same feeling at the same time I feel like, wow, I am a real coward, or am I a real jerk?

And I was never sure if I should have done more, boy, these people weren't happy with what I did. I imagine that that's not the description for any of you, you're just being faithful and you're doing the right thing.

So do be courageous. The Lord knows, the Lord sees, and your labors are not in vain to try to maintain the standards of the church, the peace and purity of the church matters. So keep fighting the good fight

Tom:

-Yeah, we just want to encourage you guys to press on. We were encouraged by Synod last year as we looked from afar and just realize how important it is to keep pushing forward, praying for another faithful Synod.

And want you guys to just continue to rely upon God's Word and for its power to do its work, sometimes we forget how powerful God's Word is. But remember that God's Word is useful for teaching and sometimes for rebuke and for correction and all of it for training and righteousness.

So keep relying upon God's word, be faithful to carry it forth. And we trust and we pray that God will have some more good things in store this year for the Christian Reformed Church.
