Again, brother, you cannot be thanked enough for sharing your testimony and for speaking with a clear, compelling, and compassionate voice. May God continue to encourage and strengthen you by his Word and Spirit and through the body of Christ.

Thank you for your honesty, courage and vulnerability sharing your story. It is heartbreaking to read of your hardships with regards to sexuality, but I know God is using every word of this testimony for his glory. Thank you!

I pray someone sees this as it is nearly two years later that I have come upon this. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this testimony. If ANY advice or resources can be offered. I humbly ask for them. My grandson, age 20, autistic, a bit of a hermit, has revealed these same feelings as you since childhood. I love him so very much. He lives with me. His autism and secular embrace of his choice distance him from anything Christian. I pray his “heart of stone be transformed to a heart of flesh”. Without the ability to understand love and relationships, he cannot relate to anything spiritual. I have been convicted to love him despite his decision. He is aware I don’t approve and why. He accepts that as my defect by default of my faith. He sees it in an intellectual perspective, not as a relational one. I cannot approach this from a faith perspective at this point. I have made him promise me he will not do anything radical until he has had counseling for all of his childhood trauma. He has agreed. I’m also lost how to select a counselor that will not just affirm him but rather be pragmatic and hopefully interject some moral (Christian?🙏🏻) principles as well. In conclusion, ANY help would be a blessing. My pastors have left me feeling like an outcast since I brought this to their attention. Clearly, they are not equipped to deal with it.

Yes Sheryl, arguably starting with the polygamist murderer Lamech in Genesis 4, sin has brought a spectrum of perversion into this fallen world. But, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 19:4-8, it certainly was not so in God's good design from the beginning.
