I am not familiar with this denomination, but this was written from the point of view of someone with a great understanding of the Bible and our relationship to Jesus. I am amazed it was written by a 14 year old. It takes a lot longer for most of us to reach this level of faith and wisdom.
Dear Kathlyn, Thank you for your honest comments based on God's Truth, not man's word, opinions or interpretations. May God Bless you and encourage you in your walk of faith, and I pray this message you have shared will be spoken and proclaimed to all in the CRC Denomination. We need to humble ourselves and put God's Truth in the right place, above ALL. He and His Word are one. He will never change it to accomodate our desires or excuses. God judges sin. He calls us to 'repent', to turn away from our sin and trust completely in Him for our forgiveness, salvation and the power to overcome sin. This is what true transformation is in Jesus! This is the power of the Gospel! Jesus says: "He who loves Me keeps my commandments". We all need to get back to God's Word. A good passage to study for all of us is found in I John where we are taught what a true child of God looks like, what they do, how they live and who their true identity is as opposed to those who 'do not know Him'. This is not about judging but God provides us the knowledge in His Word so that we will not be deceived and to become discerning as His children because our enemy, Satan is continuously seeking to destroy God's work and His people as he has from the beginning in Genesis. Thank you for the reminder to all of us that our faith and trust is to be in Jesus, not in ourselves and to know God's Word is critical to knowing God Himself, His ways and how to live for Him!
